It is sort of crazy that this baby can arrive at any moment.
It feels like I am constantly expecting a surprise party to be thrown for me.
I usually love surprises, but I am getting nervous that the baby is going to make an appearance in strange places, like at the gym, supermarket, or a restaurant...

Organized baby: 3 weeks to go
So I was on a crazy search for a baby bag. I was looking for something that was practical and stylish. All the bags which were from the "diaper bag" category, well sort of lame, and totally too babyish. In the end I ended up going with a tote-style handbag instead.
And I bought this guy today, which basically makes any bag into a diaper bag. I had one when Charlie was a baby and kept it under the stroller, I am not sure where it went. So this baby gets a new one. It is great because it is small, it has pockets for wipes, diapers and has a zip off changing pad for when you need to change the little one on the go.
Now I have a bag I love and it can officially be called a "diaper bag" with the addition of this.

Organized baby: 4 weeks to go
When Darren and I were dating, my mom told me to be sure to always have my nails done, "just in case." She thought that we could have gotten engaged at any time, and it would be a shame to have a new sparkly ring with crummy nails. I have to agree.
I know it seems silly, and you are probably thinking that the baby will not care, notice or understand what condition my nails are in. I just always feel better with nicely painted and manicured nails and toes.
So while I am sure this baby wont make an appearance for a few more weeks... it doesn't hurt to be ready "just in case."

Organized baby: 5 weeks to go
I am starting to think about baby annoucements and stationary.
I am really just browsing around online since we don't know if this baby is a boy or a girl.
I also am trying to find my address list. We got a new computer in December and I think the list is saved on the old one, so I guess I am going to have to dig it up.

Obsessed with: this shirt
Just because I am at the end of this pregnancy, does not mean it's time to throw in the fashion towel, and just wear giant t-shirts and sweatpants. I always feel my best in a cute ensemble.
While I want to look put together, I certainly don't want to make any maternity clothing investments at this point. This weekend, I hit up Old Navy for a few inexpensive items to spruce up my maternity wardrobe.
I scored this great button-down, it isn't maternity, just a a size up. I love it. It's comfortable and light, and will be an easy shirt to wear after the baby is born too.
I wish it came in some more cute colors and patterns.. but I am loving this gingham.

Organized baby: 6 weeks to go
I feel like I am really all ready for the baby... the car seat is washed, hospital bag is packed, bed is set up, I have diapers, tons of white onesies, etc. So for this week I couldn't really think of anything to do.
So here is a picture of me, with 6 weeks to go.
I can't figure out if that's a long time, or not so much.

Organized baby: 9 weeks to go
The bed is made and ready to go.
In the meantime, while I was waiting for these baskets to be available (they were on backorder) I took a trip to my Home Goods and came across these. I thought they were funky and cute... and Charlie and Tessa really liked them. Why not take decorating advice from a 2 and 3 year old?
So far the boxes are full of:
diapering supplies
one-sies
outfits
receiving blankets
socks, booties, hats
and a empty box for diapers.

Organized baby: 10 weeks to go
I need to order these guys for the changing table. Aren't they just the cutest? I think they are going to look amazing all lined up on the shelves of the changing table. I can't think of a cuter way to organize all the baby's things.

Organized baby: 11 weeks to go
I love my station wagon.
When we got married we moved from New York to Miami. Instead of subways, taxis and buses, I needed a car in order to get around. We began our search looking for a convertible and ended up with a wagon. Of course I knew we would have kids one day, but I really wanted a wagon because I just thought they were great. To me wagons are a little preppy, a little old school and totally classic.
Five years and two (almost three) kids later, we are finally outgrowing my wagon, and our new car search has just begun.
Anyone want to buy this?

Organized baby: 12 weeks to go
Some pregnant women, begin to "nest" when they are getting toward the end of their pregnancy... they organize, clean, arrange and decorate their homes. Personally I am constantly in a state of nesting. So for me, being pregnant gives me an excuse to be extra organized.
With 12 weeks to go, I figure it was ok to start to get a little organized in the baby department. For the first few months, this little one will reside in our room. Luckily, the bassinet was in our room for the past year, as we couldn't find a place to store it, so that was easy. Then I brought in the changing table, which is where I will keep all of the baby's belongings for the beginning. I need to order some bins to keep all baby things neat and well-catagorized.
We have a few unknowns going on. Whether this baby is a boy or a girl and where we will be living when the baby is a few months old, which makes all of this feel a bit temporary. But not to fear, this baby will have a clean, well organized and fabulous space to call home for the first few months.
