The bed is made and ready to go.
In the meantime, while I was waiting for these baskets to be available (they were on backorder) I took a trip to my Home Goods and came across these. I thought they were funky and cute... and Charlie and Tessa really liked them. Why not take decorating advice from a 2 and 3 year old?
So far the boxes are full of:
diapering supplies
one-sies
outfits
receiving blankets
socks, booties, hats
and a empty box for diapers.

Organized baby: 10 weeks to go
I need to order these guys for the changing table. Aren't they just the cutest? I think they are going to look amazing all lined up on the shelves of the changing table. I can't think of a cuter way to organize all the baby's things.

Organized moment: up and at 'em
I know this is totally crazy but for no good reason I got out of bed this morning right after my husband at 5:30. I know this seems silly, and he thought I was totally nutty as I got up put my gym clothes on and started my day way before the sun (and kids) were up.
I just love the feeling of starting the day alone... I have some time to work on a painting, drink some coffee in peace and listen to some music before the madness ensues.

Organized baby: 11 weeks to go
I love my station wagon.
When we got married we moved from New York to Miami. Instead of subways, taxis and buses, I needed a car in order to get around. We began our search looking for a convertible and ended up with a wagon. Of course I knew we would have kids one day, but I really wanted a wagon because I just thought they were great. To me wagons are a little preppy, a little old school and totally classic.
Five years and two (almost three) kids later, we are finally outgrowing my wagon, and our new car search has just begun.
Anyone want to buy this?

Obsessed with: mint nails
I love this nail polish color. It is perfect for summer. Not too light, that it is boring, and not too bright that I will get tired of it in 10 minutes.
While I can still see my toes, they may as well be pretty!

Organized baby: 12 weeks to go
Some pregnant women, begin to "nest" when they are getting toward the end of their pregnancy... they organize, clean, arrange and decorate their homes. Personally I am constantly in a state of nesting. So for me, being pregnant gives me an excuse to be extra organized.
With 12 weeks to go, I figure it was ok to start to get a little organized in the baby department. For the first few months, this little one will reside in our room. Luckily, the bassinet was in our room for the past year, as we couldn't find a place to store it, so that was easy. Then I brought in the changing table, which is where I will keep all of the baby's belongings for the beginning. I need to order some bins to keep all baby things neat and well-catagorized.
We have a few unknowns going on. Whether this baby is a boy or a girl and where we will be living when the baby is a few months old, which makes all of this feel a bit temporary. But not to fear, this baby will have a clean, well organized and fabulous space to call home for the first few months.

Obsessed with: this shampoo and conditioner
I have frizzy, wavy, out of control hair. During the cooler months it isn't too much of a problem. I can easily tame my mane by blow drying straight. But in the warm Southern summer months, it is another story.
In the past I have done the permanent Keratin straightening process. This worked well, but the downside is that it may be really bad for you, and also not recommended to do while pregnant. So that leads me to quicker options.
I have pretty much bought every shampoo, conditioner, and hair product that promises smooth non-frizzy hair. Anything with the the words "sleek," "shine," "ice," or "straight" I have purchased in the hopes to control my crazy hair. Usually the results are non-existent.
Well on a recent trip to the supermarket I saw a display of this shampoo, so I figured I would give it a try. It is great. I am obsessed! My hair feels smooth and frizz-free.
